The Great Hydrogen Scam 

          You don’t have to be a scientist to understand hydrogen fuel is ridiculous.  While the source water is readily available, considerable energy is required to extract hydrogen for fuel. 

          Hydrogen is our lightest element and gas.  It produces about twice as much heat energy per unit mass as gasoline.  A gallon of gasoline weighs six pounds.  The equivalent three pounds of hydrogen, or 1364 grams, has a volume of nearly 700 cubic feet.  If we compress it with existing technology into SCUBA style tanks we need ten of them to store the same amount of energy as one gallon of gasoline.  The high pressure tanks, valves and lines would weigh more than 300 pounds where a one gallon gas tank would weigh a few ounces.  And, this vehicle would have a range of about 30 miles. 

          To get a standard car range of 200 miles we would need a ton of high pressure hydrogen storage equipment.  Hydrogen is notoriously difficult to store and use.  It burns with an invisible flame in sunlight.  A head-on collision with two hydrogen powered vehicles would be a human barbecue, including those who came to fight the fire. And, we have thousands of these kinds of wrecks every year.

          Hydrogen combustion produces water vapor which contrary to what environmentalists say is a much better infrared heat absorber than CO2 by a factor of four, molecule for molecule, as shown by the areas under the absorption curves and energy differences based on wavelength on the NASA John Tyndall website, “On The Shoulders of Giants.” In air water vapor has 200 times as many molecules so it is 800 times as responsible for atmospheric heating as CO2.    NASA inverted the ordinate values to make it appear CO2 is a better absorber on their website "On The Shoulders of Giants" in the John Tyndall bio.  Why the games and lies?  Water vapor cannot be controlled or taxed.  Carbon fuels can be taxed and “global warming is the new crisis.  Panic power politics have ruled America since December 7, 1941.
